Composting is importing to us, and what is better than a big compost heap from which the heat can be usefully used. Swiss Jean Pain (1930-1981) coined this method in 1970 in Var, Southern France and has gotten a great following spice then.
In this workshop you will learn about the beginnings of the Jean Pain composting method. By only using leftovers garden waste such as wood chips and with a little help from nature you can warm up water for a warm shower or the heating of your house.
We will share our knowledge and experience about building and setting up a biomeiler around the Netherlands teaming up together with the Dutch Biomeiler Foundation. We share our experience of the different size built, the mixing of different wood chips, what other materials can be added, the warmth produced an the many different uses of woodcompost.
