Solitary bees are crucial pollinators, yet are little known or conserved. In the Netherlands there are hundreds of species of solitairy bees. Compared to honeybees that live in social groups of thousands together; the solitairy bees live alone in holes in the ground and most of them in holes found in walls. They rarely if ever sting, and aren’t dangerous. Millions of plants benefit from their effort for reproduction, solitairy bees collects pollen and nectar of flowers. One species the Red Mason bees are highly efficient pollinators, a single female is thought to do the work of 60 honey bees.

In this workshop you will learn how to build your own bee hotel work, positioning and maintenance. You will also Learn about the solitairy bees and their behavior and lifespan.
This workshop is available for groups from 3 to 30 people.
